Technology Services is the UniOps IT function that leads and operates the foundational and employee facing IT services. This includes Cloud Hosting, Networks, Collaboration Services, Identity and Access Mgmt, Employee Technology, Data Mgmt Platforms etc. Its purpose for the foreseeable future is to lead the move to the cloud and to design and deliver the core technology that underpins a modern digital employee / workplace experience. About the Role & Responsibilities The Employee Technology team plays a pivotal role in delivering the client technologies that support the mobility and agility that Unilever needs to succeed. As a part of the Employee Technology team, the purpose of the Windows and Devices Solutions Manager role is to support with: • Providing input into the Employee Technology Services Roadmap • Manage the design & Implementation of Client Technical Solutions. Demand would come from either the team Roadmap, Project Requirements from project team or Service Improvements from Service Teams. Examples of requirements are; Intune policy changes, new hardware, reporting, proactive remediations) • Managing a team of 4 technical specials and a few contractors • Support new Solutions as they go through testing prior to handover to BAU • Provide input and advise on Hardware choices in your area • Ensuring Technical documentation is created and updated • Production of regular reporting on Progress and Technical risks & issues • Engagement and management of a complex blend of suppliers & stakeholders As we have shifted into a Cloud based flexible Modern Management approach, the successful candidate must also carry a strong appreciation for the power of the new client technologies, as well as an understanding on their impact on Security, Software Asset Management and other Services. All about you The Windows and Devices Solutions Manager is responsible for support in setting the technical strategy and for the delivery of Workplace technologies within Unilever. Understanding and following industry trends and providing Technical Solutions and operational support where required. The Windows and Devices Solutions Manager is accountable for keeping the environment current, security compliant and operationally stable through the implementation of change. You will be working on solutions in Microsoft Azure like W365, AVD, Intune and a wider range of devices from the 3 leading hardware manufacturers. Skills we are looking for: Essential: • 5+ years Client IT experience within Unilever or at least one other similar global organisation • Proven experience in designing and delivering Client Solutions • Team management skills • Excellent business awareness, understanding the broader context in which IT delivery has an impact on overall business performance. • Flexibility to adjust to changing business requirements. • Experience and awareness of working in a global role. • Demonstrate awareness and empathy to our many cultures and social needs. • Customer and service centric mind-set. • Excellent communication skills • Ability to work under pressure. Desirable: • Knowledge of structured service delivery methodologies such as ITIL • Commercial awareness and understanding of providing TCO models • Project management skills in line with best practice such as Agile IT Technical Skills (Nice to have) • Expert in Windows and Android operating systems • Expert in Intune for Device management and Solutioning. • Expert in creation of technical documentation • Familiar with scripting (PowerShell, bash)
